The ProAm Tournament held on July 17 was great fun despite a rain delay getting started and a downpour that cut the tournament short. Six teams from Highlands and Commonwealth competed. Better weather next year!

Pre Canada Day Fun held on June 29 was perfect! We celebrated both Canada’s birthday and our improved greens. John, our program director, led us through three different bowling games, and Joy, our social director organized a tasty and hearty lunch with Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. John had us laughing with his somewhat mysterious method of awarding Canada-themed prizes.

The Open House Event held on May 25 was a big success, in spite of the fact that our greens weren’t ready for play. About 40 visitors enjoyed meeting members, playing ‘Jack Attack’, getting an introduction to the club and the game.

Club member and coach, Marvin Kwan, talks with juniors Ryley and Kiera Schaelow at the open house.

Thank you for your support!

  • A big shout and thank you to the Government of Alberta for the Community Facility Enhancement Grant of $9,000.  This grant was used toward the purchase of new benches around the green.  We appreciate the provincial support for our centennial project!
  • And another huge thank you to the CN Railroaders!  They provided a grant of $750 for our club on behalf of members, Ed and Linda Gallacher.   CN is a great community contributor!  This funding will be used toward equipment upgrades.
